It's popcorn time!!!

I added a list of upcoming movies in 2007, they are the "so-called" most anticipated or I should say the "revenue-driven" movies.

Among the movies that I have listed, "The Good Shepherd" is the one that I personally find it worth checking out. It's the first movie from Angeline Jolie after she gave birth to that infamous Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. This movie also featured some really good actors, ie Matt Damon and Robert DeNiro.

I've also listed some other movies that I didn't include into the list at my sidebar, they are not so highly publicized as of now. Maybe the movie distributor decided to pump in A&P budget nearer to the date.. who knows?! Still, these movies are worth checking out, plus there are some pretty big names in it:

The Reaping
In cinema: 5 April
Starring: Hillary Swank... and ... who?!
Genre: Horror/Science/Fiction
** Hilary Swank is facing a terrible downside in her acting career after she received the god-worshiping Oscar. I saw this trailer in cinema before, it doesn't help her much in revealing her true potential in acting, but the storyline seems interesting.

Hannibal Rising
In cinema: 12 April
Starring: Gong Li, Dominic West.... (to name a few)
Genre: Horror/Thriller
** Yes yes... It's for those who like the man-eating cannibalism sequel Silence of The Lamb
*** I wonder what is Gong Li doing in there?? Surprisingly no major publicity on this show. Guess how much are they paying Gong Li for this role.

The Number 23
In cinema: 19 April
Starring: Jim Carrey... and some unknown chaps :-p
Genre: Thriller
** Jim Carrey's first attempt in thriller movie genre. Worth checking out. Hope it doesn't make us feel funny.

My Wife is a Gangster 3
In cinema: 21 June
Starring: Shu Qi... and some other Korean stars
Genre: Action/Comedy/Drama
** It's hardly fair to judge "My Wife Is a Gangster 3" by the franchise's standards as, effectively, it bears no relation to the two previous comedy-actioners starring actress Shin Eun-gyeong.
*** Shu Qi first attempt in Korean movie. For Shu Qi fans, worth spending time.

While browsing through the internet looking for new movies coming up, found one movie co-starring by a long-lost famous name - Jane Seymour. Remember "Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman"? And also her unforgettable lovely appearance in "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reeve. Do you know that she was a Bond Girl back in 1973? For those who has been anticipating her appearance on big screen, she's going to appear in a movie called "Blind Dating" (Comedy/Action/Drama) as a supporting role.

Besides that, the Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden is appearing on big screen again in a movie called "The Invisible" (Horror). Well, that name speaks for itself, it's about a boy died and turned into an invisible figure trying to find out the truth of his death... It's another "Sixth Sense" imitation.

Noticed quite a lot of horror/thriller movie genre coming up this year. Is the Pig year really that horrifying?!

Some movies that we didn't expect to have a sequel, has just announced that they are producing a part 2 this year, ie National Treasure 2, Alien vs Predator 2 (Ahh!! I just remember the ending scene where one alien fella actually escaped from the extinction). Also not forgetting some long-waited big-screen debut & reproduced - ie. Transformers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Kinda miss the ever great X-Men series. It would be great if they can also join the fun! Also, does anyone knows when is Superman producing it's sequel? Well, it's very smart for them to stay away from the summer blockbuster war this year!

Anyway, this is the year of Great Films! Big great film sequels are showing this year, ie. Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Harry Potter 5, Shrek 3, and the list goes on.

Enjoy the popcorn folks!
